Immersion
When you realise that you've got a lot of free time coming up and nothing specific to do with it ... you might as well throw yourself into chess, right?
My chess goals for September:
- Play 5 training games at 30+15 / 40+30
- Complete the 222 "Easy" Positions from The Woodpecker Method (5-10 each day)
- Study 30 Beat the Masters positions (one each day)
- Play through 100 games of Isaac Boleslavsky (3-4 daily)
- Finish Boost Your Chess: Fundamentals (18 chapters & final test to go)
- Re-read Excelling at Chess
- Listen to all the new episodes of The Chess Pit
- Listen to all the previously released 'adult improver' episodes of Perpetual Chess
- Finish Tiny Habits (by 15th September)
- Read one other new book - title yet to be decided - 16th to 30th September
- Re-watch Game Over: Kasparov and the Machine; Bobby Fischer Against The World; Magnus
- Re-watch I am Bolt; Man on Wire
- Walk 2km every day (1st to 15th September)
- Walk 3km every day (16th to 30th September)
- Acquire [redacted] for forthcoming secret project on [redacted].
- Have a birthday
- Confirm an infinitely less busy, but structured, schedule for October.

- Review progress on the blog each Sunday
Estimated daily time commitment:
Woodpecker 15 minutes
BtM 1 hour
Boleslavsky 1 hour
BYC/F 3 hours
Excelling at Chess 30 minutes
Podcasts 45 minutes
General Reading 1 hour
Walking 30 minutes
TOTAL 8 hours
With the training games to be played and films to be watched one each per week.
