  1. I think White's fighting for survival so how about 1. Qh6 intending Bg5 and Bf6? If Black plays 1... Nxf3 there's 2. Rxg6+ fg 3. Qxg6+. However, I thinking I'm running out of checks after Kf8 (3... Kh8 4. Qh6+ Kg8 5. Qg6+ ...) 4. Qf6+ Ke8 5. Bh6 Bc8 (possibly 5... Nf2+ will come to something) 6. Bf8 Kd7 7. Qe7+ Kc6 8. Qxd6+ ...

    1. Hi Angus,

Yup White is struggling. I’ll reply to 1 Qh6 in the feedback post.

  2. I went for h5 to soften up the kingside. I wanted to go f4, but think Black gets a nice position by sacrificing the piece with Bc6. The hope with h5 is that Black struggles to break through as quickly with his knight tied to defending g6.

    1. h5 was my choice too. I also started with f4 - but see the feedback post for why it doesn’t work (i’d not seen it either).
